Other Strategies

Other strategies you can adopt:
  • Contact the student’s hand with the object when handouts or other materials are being distributed
  • Never interact with a guide dog when it is working. Obtain the owner’s permission when petting or speaking to the dog.
  • Lead someone who is blind only after they have accepted your offer to do so.
