Sighted Guide Technique

• Stand side by side and touch the arm of the student with the back of your hand.
• Let the student take your arm just above the elbow and follow you.
• Pause slightly before curbs and stairs.
• Go through doors first.
• Guide the student’s hand to the back of the chair.
