Speaking

Some basics when speaking to the student:

• Get your student’s attention before beginning to speak, with a light touch on the shoulder
• Use your normal voice. Some people believe that foreigners and blind people are hearing impaired too!!
• Identify yourself and any others present
• Inform the student when you or others enter or leave the room
