The letters of the braille alphabet are made up from 26 different combinations of the braille cell.

It may look confusing to begin with, but there is actually an easy method to these combinations of dots which groups letters into three sequences.

These sequences are explained in more detail on the next page, but have a look at the complete alphabet below.
